What can TIE offer?

Viewpoint

The TIE project will establish a practical harmonization of data transfer between companies. The output of the project is a permanent communication model with agreed data structure and exchange methods, and tools for testing them. The advantage of this communication model is persistency - it enables automation of data transfer routines both within and between companies. The common approach also helps to guide the technical solution providers.

The project involves a significant number of Finnish industrial companies. Work is driven by the forest industry. The companies involved in the project are responsible for the success of the project with their own input and use-cases. The TIE project has been well received by both industry and system vendors. We expect the number of participants in the project to increase as practical results are met.

The THTH Association monitors and cooperates with international industry standardization bodies. The TIE project is carried out in accordance with international and national standards. Information security and data ownership issues are addressed in the project according to common industry policies and agreements. THTH is committed to carry out the project according to the agreed plan and is responsible for the maintenance and further development of the project results afterwards.
